Pablo del Real is a poet; his area of focus is spiritual blindness. He is the author of P-poll: are you happy now?, a book-length pamphlet about the opportunity for legislative preference polling, and O I : the absolute value of infinity, a book of poetry. He is the founder of Auroras Voice.

Aldo Paul Guzman was born in Medellin (Colombia), immigrated to the New York area in the early 1980s, and moved to Florida in 2004. He lives in Greenacres and has worked as a banker in Delray Beach for the last 7 years. Aldo firmly believes in the kindness of mankind and that if we all help each other, the struggles of the world will be fewer. He serves as treasurer of Auroras Voice.

Francesca Mallows is an artist. She grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to the U.S.A. in 1978 and holds a degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Francesca believes that a sort of apartheid exists in the minds of many U.S. citizens and that a community divided can never reach its full potential. She serves as secretary of Auroras Voice.

Shelly Zacks has lived in Delray Beach for 31 years. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). Having worked as teacher, director, and educational consultant in preschools for nearly 40 years, she has become an advocate for preserving the magical years of early childhood and for the importance of play in a young child's life. Shelly is a Palm Beach County Master Gardener, and has a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Besides the gardens she creates with her preschool students in Boca Raton, she gardens weekly with the clients of JARC, a residence for adults with mental challenges. Shelly serves as co-chair of Sow Share, a program of Auroras Voice.

Michiko Kurisu is a freelance photographer and artist. She is the founder & coordinator of the Swinton Community Garden in Delray Beach. Michiko also volunteers with the Shimmy Club, a Miami-based non-profit that teaches Argentine tango to blind and deaf teenagers. She is a former member of the City of Delray Beach’s Public Art Advisory Board. |
